KilnSense
Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Email address — used to authenticate with KilnAid on your behalf
- KilnAid session token — held in server memory only while you're logged in
- Kiln telemetry — temperature and status data received from the KilnAid API during active monitoring
What we do NOT collect
- Passwords — your password is relayed to KilnAid and immediately discarded; it is never stored
- Personal data — no profiles, no names, no addresses
- Analytics or tracking — no Google Analytics, no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting
- Cookies — only a single Flask session cookie is used (no third-party cookies)
Data storage
All data is held in server memory only. There is no database. Everything is lost when the server restarts.
Session cookies expire after 24 hours.
Data processing
KilnSense acts as a relay between your browser and the
KilnAid API
(operated by Bartlett Instrument Company). We do not store, sell, or share your data with any third parties.
Security
- HTTPS is enforced for all connections
- Session cookies are marked
httpOnly
- Passwords are never written to disk or logs
Your rights
You can log out at any time to clear your session. Since we don't store accounts or personal data,
there is nothing to delete — logging out is all it takes.
Contact
KilnSense is a personal project by Phil Topness and is not affiliated with Bartlett Instrument Company.
